May 28, 1930 Birthday

Dear Margaret

Uncle Frank starts in about 5:30 a.m. tomorrow and expects to get to Marshalltown sometime Sat. He's hoping to get a train in Des Moines that night so you'll soon be seeing him and his he's looking forward to seeing you all. How much I wish I were going with him but we shall enjoy hearing about you all when he gets back. We enjoyed your mother's letter today. Your cousin Joy would like to see all those chickens. We all wish you a very happy birthday and many of them and a great deal of love.

Merry said, I wouldn't do this! But Dode and I are doing the city, while Mr. L is busy - Do you like school? I want to hear of you being head "gal" in class. Will try to see you a minute, when we take Dode home - Cheerio
