Dear Bro. Wesley & Family
Bessie sent me a letter you wrote & it made me think of you, & the good times we used to have together & it made me wish we lived close enough together so we could have some more good times together – some of your letters said you had some lonesome days, but remember I am thinking about you & wishing I could visit you. I have a few lonesome hrs, but it don’t last long. Winnie works at a little store close here, & she likes it so well & it makes a little money to. Nina has a nice job at the Drug store, & Deane goes to school, so I am all alone a lot, but they come home for dinner, & I go to town almost every after noon on the buss. It goes past our house evry hr. Billy wrote that if we would go down there he would drive us to Calif. next summer, but I am to old for such a long trip but I would like to see all of you & Redding once more, but I won’t

try it. But I hope I can go to my farm again that is a short trip compaired to going to Calif. Dean & I just got home from our farm & visiting the boys. Fay & his wife drove out there & we went back with them, & I am hoping Waynes will come next fall after us. We had a good crop, & it was nice seeing them harvest it. We could only sell 10 lbs to the acq. untill they ship out some and we have all our granaries full besides.
I had 60 a. of timber land cut with an engine & got it broke & they are disking it & will put it in wheat next year, I’ve nearly always have a healthy crop an breaking[?]. Deane drove an engine a little and I hope he will be a farmer when he gets through school, he is 14 & in the 9th grade. I suppose you will always live with Earls and I know you like it there & you couldn’t be with a better boy and Mary. You have my congratulations too.
Love to you all. Your Bro & Uncle Henry.
